National photographers of El Salvador
Walkway is a free extension for Google Chrome that allows users to view beautiful pictures of El Salvador. You can download it right now from the Chrome Web Store.
Don’t you know what El Salvador is? Well, it’s a small but precious country in Central America, facing the Pacific Ocean between Mexico and South America. El Salvador is an exotic tropical paradise filled with things to see and do. The Salvadorans are as equally incredible with their fun inviting personalities and magnificent artistic talents. There are hidden gems here that are waiting to be discovered, and Walkway is a portal for all of us to explore these gems together.
Each photographer has something new to offer, and their perspective for taking pictures differs significantly from one another. Listed below are the names, descriptions, and photographs from the photographers that are participating in Walkway’s initial stages of development.
Guillermo “Memo” Cárcamo
Guillermo is one of the greatest photographers I’ve ever met. He’s got an eye for detail when it comes to taking pictures. Memo’s photography and styles vary depending on his mood. His interests are taking pictures of models, landscapes, and the abstract. He’s good at taking pictures of anything and anyone. Just give him a camera and he’ll wow you.
Apart from taking pictures, on Guillermo’s free time, he likes to go scouting, a term used when looking for new environments in which to create content. Guillermo is an adventurer, always traveling and creating content everywhere he goes. He has also given workshops to help people improve their photography skills. You can follow him on Instagram and Twitter, where he posts content often.
One of his passions as well is calligraphy but especially graffiti. While taking a walk in El Salvador, you might find his mark tagged somewhere in the street.
The following are some of Memo’s pictures available only when you download Walkway.
Diego Martin
Diego is a methodological photographer, technical, and patient when taking pictures. He uses his time wisely to take his shots, making sure there is an ample amount of natural sunlight for his photos.
For years, Diego has created a collection of outstanding photography. His camera and drone have joined him on all of his adventures. He’s got everything from beautiful panoramic shots of the countryside to the first-person point of view action. Comfortable with any device and quickly adapts to learning how to manage anything you throw at him.
Martin, on his own time, is the lead singer of a local Salvadoran hard rock band called Insurgency. He has also written songs and will soon release an EP for the public to enjoy. Follow him on Instagram and download Walkway to continue viewing his work.

Mónica Torrento
Mónica is one of the greatest female photographers you’ll ever come across. Each one of her pictures tells a story, which she shares in detail on her Instagram account. The images she takes convey stories about the challenges and wonders about life. You’ll find that her interests are portraits and still life, usually in urban or rustic locations. Mónica is a storyteller; she will embark with you on a journey through someone’s life in a single photograph.
One of her unique abilities is to create astounding pictures focusing on a subject(s) and creating a touch of a blur. She has also taken the time to participate in leading workshops to help others improve their photography skills and share her creative process.
Her images speak for themselves, if you want to see more of Mónica, check out these examples of her work on Walkway!

Byron Linares
Byron is someone I recently just met through a mutual friend, and the moment I saw Byron’s first image, I knew that he had talent. It’s truly astounding the quality of picture Byron can create with his photographs. I’m more than impressed; my jaws left wide open. His talent is the ability to capture the essence of El Salvador’s nature in an image.
His images come either POV or from a birds-eye view, and both are a delight to see. You’ll be amazed every time you open a tab in Walkway. It truly is a pleasure to have Byron Linares on board with Walkway. Makes sure to follow his Instagram account and download Walkway to stay up to date with his work!

René Roa
René is an incredibly gifted individual with the ability to take breathtaking photography where on the ground or in the air. He knows his way around technology, and if he comes across a challenge, he does his research to resolve the obstacles. Roa is indeed one of the most skilled designers I’ve come across.
He’s always busy moving up and down, working, or traveling with his fiancé. You’re going to want to continue to follow him on his Instagram account to keep up to date. I’m excited to see what other incredible content René is going to create!

Frank Fuentes and Dennis Benitez
One of the best things about Walkway is getting allowed to work with people I hadn’t met before. Frank and Dennis are two great examples of this, and they’ve both been equally crucial for Walkway’s growth. Frank is focused solely on the camera and Dennis on the drone. Both of their images are great and add another explosion of El Salvador’s culture.
Check out some of their work below and remember to download Walkway if you haven’t already!

Samuel Portillo
Samuel is one of a resourceful, kind designer and dedicated to creating new and fantastic content continually. He’s an extremely creative person and a jack of all trades, always illustrating, painting, prototyping, coding, designing, and yes, even taking pictures.
Fin Studios is his startup company located in the city of San Salvador, where he helps people bring their ideas to life. Sam’s done so much for Walk, being an integral part of the design process since the very beginning. He’s responsible for creating and helping cement the fundamental pillars that have made Walk what it is today, and for that, I cannot thank him enough.

Javier Diaz
Javier, or more commonly known as Javi Dayz, has the drive to create things, one of which is the art of cinematography. His love for film has led him to find some outstanding shots in every environment. He has a unique way of perceiving the world differently, discovering the meaning behind the lens of a camera, and seeing what others cannot.
Javi’s creativity is limitless, and as a creative individual, he likes to film music videos like Oligarcamatión from Diente Amargo and El Verbo del Sha from Nadine Masri. He’s also into filming vlogs, skits, and illustrations. You can find more of his art through his Instagram or follow him on Twitter.

Raúl López
Raúl is the newest member of this group of contributors. He’s a student at the most prestigious college in El Salvador, Escuela de Comunicación Mónica Herrera (School of Communication). We’ve recently met, and I can’t wait to see what we get to create together. View Raúl’s images on Walkway and be sure to follow his account on Instagram.
An extraordinarily talented group of individuals
Each one of these people is amazing in their way, and because of them, Walkway is what it is. Without the people that participate, Walk and Walkway wouldn’t be the same. It’s with a team of incredible people that genuinely astounding things can be made possible. I am forever thankful for their contribution, and I cannot wait to see what we all get to create together.
The first version of Walkway was released on December 21, 2019. It’s been a little over two months now, and after receiving feedback, Walkway V2 is currently undergoing development. Many new features will be added in this next update that allows more options for personalizing your experience.
I’d love to share with you some of those features, but for now, I’ll have to wait. I don’t want to spoil any of the surprises I have in store. All you need to know is that Walkway is a labor of love, and at Walk, we know you can’t rush art. But don’t you worry, we’re making amazing things with incredible people, and we’ve only just begun this journey.
