A jewel on the Californian coast

Each of the environments in The Last of Us Part 2 is beautiful and unique from one another. Player’s will travel across through thick woods and overgrown vegetation on urban landscapes.

Eventually, Ellie makes it to Santa Barbara, which is probably my favorite level. The Last of Us Part 2 does a good job representing California. The adobe inspired houses and bougainvillea surrounding the neighborhood are iconic features of California architecture.

The beach looks vibrant with the perfect weather to swim under the sunlight. Environmental sounds make the settings alive with waves and walking on sand.

Enjoy some of these great screenshots of Santa Barbara from The Last of Us Part 2. If you’re interested, read the review for The Last of Us Remastered for the Playstation 4.

Closing Thoughts

It’s been seven years since The Last of Us released, and very few games come close to its grandeur. The Last of Us Part 2 has improved in many aspects, but I’m always most impressed by the art direction.

I’ve happy with the level designs and environments in The Last of Us Part 2. Every level sets itself apart and has an evocative atmosphere. Santa Barbara is my favorite level in The Last of Us Part 2. If you agree or disagree, let me know in the comment section below and why.
